Oakley Creek in Mt AlbertFriends of Oakley Creek Te Auaunga

A society working to restore and protect and raise the profile of a unique Auckland asset that flows from Mt Roskill through Wesley, Owairaka, Mt Albert, Avondale and Waterview before entering the Motu Manawa Marine Reserve in the Waitemata Harbour. In its lower reaches in Mt Albert, it incorporates the beautiful Oakley Creek Walkway, with the only waterfall on the Auckland isthmus.

Archery club on Mt Albert's peakMountain Green Archery Club

MGAC has promoted target archery on the summit of Mt Albert for more than 70 years. In addition to its outdoor range, the club has an indoor range in Massey. MGAC runs popular beginner courses on Saturday mornings during term times (bookings are essential) and has an organised club shoot each weekend, in addition to hosting regular regional and national tournaments. Archers of all abilities, and interested beginners, are welcome.
